About

Hi, I am ZJ Zhang (personal website), working with Michael C. Liu. I am interested in atmospheres of giant exoplanets and brown dwarfs. I am currently leading a project COol Companions ON Ultrawide orbiTS (COCONUTS), aiming to find wide-orbit giant planets or brown dwarf companions around nearby stars (from Gaia DR2) within 100pc. These planets and substellar companions are valuable benchmarks to test and improve contemporary model atmospheres.

Please check out our first COCONUTS discovery (ApJ in press).
