About

Hi, everyone! I am a first-year graduate and research assistant at the Institute for Astronomy at UH Manoa working with Mark Chun. My current research project is using phase measuring deflectometry to obtain the interaction matrix of an adaptive secondary mirror (ASM) developed by the ‘imaka group at IfA Hilo. Before coming to graduate school, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Illinois Wesleyan University in the summer of 2020. My undergraduate research was building a Fourier Transform spectrometer with a novel design to study cosmic analog dust. Outside of astronomy, I love anything nature related such as hiking and swimming. I also enjoy dancing 😉
