About

Hi, I’m Grey (they/them)! I am a fourth year graduate student at IfA Mānoa. I am working on cosmological structure formation with Dr. István Szapudi. I work with the H20 survey, an ultradeep galaxy survey for the Euclid space telescope.

Research

Ph.D. Topic

Topic: Constraining Structure Formation at High Redshift
Committee: István Szapudi(Chair), David Sanders, David Rubin, Peter Sadowski, David Jones

For my 699-1 project, I worked with Dr. István Szapudi on measuring linear galaxy bias at high redshift.  For my 699-2 project, I worked with Dr. Dave Sanders on finding protoclusters in the H20 survey. For my PhD, I am continuing my work with Dr. Szapudi on constraining structure formation at z > 3 with galaxy clustering measurements and Lyman alpha tomography with the brand-new PFS instrument on the Subaru telescope.

Teaching

I’ve been a Teaching Assistant for:

ASTR 110L: Survey of Astronomy Lab
ASTR 470: General Relativity and Cosmology

I’ve taught (as a TA):

ASTR 110L: Survey of Astronomy Lab
