About
I develop, build and use new technology to address questions in astronomy that are difficult or infeasible with traditional methods (e.g., the Robo-AO/Kepler survey). Currently I am building two adaptive optics systems, Robo-AO-2 for the UH 2.2-m telescope on Maunakea, HI, and USNO-AO for the 1.8-m U.S. Naval Observatory (USNO) telescope in Flagstaff, AZ. I work on a wide range of scientific topics spanning asteroid statistics, planetary weather, exoplanets, transients and lensed quasars.
